The articles I compiled in this section are meant to assist writers of our town, Pozorrubio, participating in our 'First Pozorrubion Essay/Expository Writing Contest', the theme of which is "Improving the Quality of Lif e of the Pozorrubians".

I also intend to suggest this compilation as reference for our town leaders involved in the planning of our town, currently a first class municipality in the northeastern part of Pangasinan province in the Philippines, especially in the enhancement of the quality of life of the mass of my townmates, which is the ultimate goal of any development.

I wish to impart, too, that planning should always be viewed from a much larger context and from the context of future generations: a town within the context of a cityhood; a city or town in the context of a province; the latter within the nation;  and all within the context of global requirements for sustainable development; and all within the context of future generations who cannot vote on present generation's ideas now.

'What is Sustainable Development?
There are many definitions of sustainable development, including this landmark one which first appeared in 1987:

"Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."  — from the World Commission on Environment and Development’s,  (the Brundtland Commission) report Our Common Future;(Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1987)'

Below are list of categories of articles comprising this compilation. The list of articles is increasing. Thanks for your time reading. I wish that the fruits of your reading will benefit us all. - Gin Quesada
